Mary Moody Morris

Mary Moody Morris, 92, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Raleigh, NC and Charlotte, NC, passed away April 2, 2021. Born in Raleigh on July 16, 1928 to Elmer Odell and Patsy Allen Moody, Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark S. Morris, her former spouse, Howard F. Morris, and her twin sister, Beverly Moody Schultz. Survived by son, Stan Morris (Diane), son Danny Morris (Amanda), and daughter Kathie Morris Logan, grandchildren Michael Morris (Daniel Swanson), Lindsay Manent (Brian), Chris Logan, Payton Morris, Madelyn Morris, Everly Morris, step-grandchildren, Eric Bentz (Catherine), Julie Bentz (Andy Koelz), as well as 2 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
She was known as a fun-loving lady, who loved music, especially blues and big band, and shag dancing! She was one of a kind, even though she was a twin, and she loved to be the center of attention. She enjoyed dressing up with classic Doncaster clothes from Ellisberg’s and Tanners where she worked for many years. Aliens, UFOs and the History Channel fascinated her. Always a thinker and a searcher when it came to her spiritual beliefs, she especially liked exploring gnostic and new age beliefs.
Mary, Mom, Grandma Morris, Grammy, you are loved and missed but we believe that you are reuniting with family members & longtime friends in “another dimension” over a giant cup of hot chocolate.
