April 16, 1929 — October 16, 2018

Patricia “Pat” A. Daugherty was the only child of Nellie Virginia Liggan and Hubert Alywnne Daugherty; she was born in Williamson, West Virginia on 16 April 1929, but lived her early life in Bluefield, West Virginia. After her mother’s death in 1933, she went to live with her maternal aunt, Essie M. Liggan, and Olin Mann Clark. Pat graduated from Beaver High School in Bluefield, West Virginia in 1948. Patricia married Frank C. Hasenfuss on 22 April 1951 in Bluefield, VA and moved to Rochester, NY that fall. Pat worked to put her husband through college. She and her husband lived all around the country and she enjoyed many interests. Pat earned both her Insurance Agent and Real Estate Agent licenses, but her real love was cooking. She started and owned two catering businesses, one in Hamburg, NY and the other in Omaha, NE. In later years, she rediscovered her love and talent for art and studied with many instructors around the country. She applied her artistic skills to both painting and quilting. Pat was a member of the St. Mary's Piecemakers Quilters, Swormville, NY.

Pat is survived by her children, Michael, Marlese (John Wacek), both in NY, Melinda (Del Symmank), SC and 5 grandsons, John (Jen Alysworth) Wacek, Eric (Molly Andrews) Wacek, Daniel Wacek, all in NY, Keith Price and Kurt Price, both in SC. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Frank C. Hasenfuss, and one son, Karl Hasenfuss.
Family was always important to Pat and she is missed each and every day by her loved ones.
