Richard "Brother" Dinder

January 11, 1932 — May 1, 2022

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Richard “Brother” Dinder, 90, of Greenville, SC formerly of Whitehall, PA, on May 1, 2022. He was born in Catasauqua, PA, served in the US Marine Corps as a Private 1st Class, was a member of the Allentown VFW, and a lifetime member of Hogans Social Club. A hard-working man, he loved his family, shooting pool, and Texas Hold ‘Em. An Iron Worker for over 30 years, he was a member of Local 36.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Janet Elizabeth Davis Dinder; father, Albert M. Dinder; mother, Hilda Gerhard Schwenk and sister, Rita Hartzell.
Surviving are his children, Kimberly (James) Good of Greenville, SC, William Dinder, Debra Kovacs (Steven Goodwin), and Keith (Ann) Kovacs, all of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Taylor Good, Ross Kovacs, Abbey Kovacs, Brad Dinder and Devon Dinder; and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service honoring both Richard and Janet will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 15 at Highland Park Cemetery, Allentown.
