Robert Charles Staring

Robert Charles Staring, 79, of Honea Path, SC, passed away on April 8, 2022. He was the son of the late James E. Staring and the late Eva Patnode, born in Cohoes, NY, on February 15, 1943. Robert is survived by his beloved wife Susan M. Staring; children: Melissa Copeland, Melinda Dutton, Charles Staring, Laurie Hoyt, Leslie Burmaster, and Daniel Rudmann; sister Charlene Cuva of Greenfield Center, NY; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Sand Gervasio; and brother James Staring. Robert retired after twenty-two years as an owner of Star Contracting LLC. He enjoyed studying and reading the bible as a born-again Christian. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps for ten years, three tours of Vietnam, and three years in The National Guard. Robert may have left his worldly body but he will forever be in the hearts of the ones he left behind.
