Ronald E. Jenkins

Ronald E. 'Ron' Jenkins, born May 8, 1946, peacefully passed on September 10, 2021. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ellison and Willie Ruth Rhodes Jenkins. Ron is survived by his wife, Manette Lang Jenkins of Greenville; two daughters, Samantha Pittman of Ware Shoals, and Tonya Jenkins Eddleman and husband David of Fountain Inn; a son, Christopher Jenkins of Irmo; two grandchildren, Alan and Jessi Collins, and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Riley Collins; two sisters, Linda Hogan of Simpsonville, and Carolyn Kaisand of Spring, TX; aunts and uncles, many cousins and extended family.
Having graduated from Englewood High School, Jacksonville, FL, Ron remained active in the Class of 1965 reunions. He received a Honorary Doctorate from Florida State University. He served as a Medic in the Army from 1967-1969, and was stationed for a year in Vietnam. After retirement, Ron volunteered his time with Yeshá Ministries that taught kids Taekwondo in local churches. He also served with a local Veterans Association.
Funeral services will be on October 17, 2021 at 2 PM at Agnew Road Church of God, 200 Agnew Road, Greenville, SC 29617.
