David Smith, 76, passed from this life Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his home.
Born in Anderson, David is a son of the late William Hubert Smith and Ruby Hicks Smith. David was a retired Country Music Disc Jockey at WRIX FM. He enjoyed talking on the CB radio, HAM radio and watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his children; Donna Jones, Cindy Smith, Shannon Smith, Travis Smith, grandchildren; Christy Hyde, Jake Brown, Renee Hayes, Shannon Smith, II, Cameron Smith, Christopher Campbell, Joshua Allen, Tyler Smith and Dylan Smith, and a great granddaughter Kimberly L. Smith.
David is predeceased by his parents, three sisters; Derrle Bannister, Virginia Chitwood and Mamie Dutton.
A service will be planned at a later date.
