Sherril Jane Simmons “Nanny”, 78, of Greenville, an Angel on earth became an Angel in Heaven on Saturday, May 7, 2022. A native of Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Odell and Violet Rutledge Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Franklin “Frankie” McCoy; twin sister, Merril Elaine Simmons, and several other siblings. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jack Simmons; children, Lewis and Tim McCoy, Marty and Ronnie Whitworth, and Sherrie Fowler; sister, Bessie Moss; stepchildren, Melissa Worley and Tatum Mulkey; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 21st at Emmanuel Full Gospel Church, 10 N. Circle Drive, Piedmont SC 29673. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
