Born in Greenville, South Carolina on May 15, 1948 he is a son of the late Sue and James Griggs. Stanley is a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, telling a good joke, and always loved finding treasures at yard sales.
He leaves behind his sons; Bradley Myers (Bridget) of Greenville, South Carolina, Dendy Griggs (Christine) of Easley, South Carolina, a brother William Griggs (Beth) of Mauldin, South Carolina and a sister Susan Matthews (Glen) of Ware Place, South Carolina, grandchildren; Austin Myers, Brooklyn Myers, Bradley Myers, Jr., Nathan Griggs, Austin Griggs and Brynlee Griggs.
Stanley was predeceased by his parents, wife and a sister Ann Gilliard (Bill) of Mauldin, South Carolina.
To honor the life of Stanley, a gathering will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in the chapel of Cremation Society of South Carolina-Westville Funerals.
