Susan "Bert" Felty Moore
March 5, 1934 — July 13, 2018
Susan “Bert” Felty Moore of Greenville, SC went home to be with Jesus on Friday, July 13, 2018. Born March 5, 1934 to H.H. Felty and Elizabeth Smith Felty in Bainbridge, Georgia, she is preceded in death by parents, beloved husband of 46 years: Larry W. Moore, brother: “Bubber” Felty and grandson: Samuel Powell.
Surviving are daughters: Elizabeth Barefoot, Susan Moore and Sara Powell and grandchildren: Nathan Barefoot and Brittany Matthews and extended family.
Bert was an honor graduate of Bainbridge HS and received her BA from Shorter College in Rome, GA in 1956. In her senior year she was chairman of the Honor Board, President of the Student Body, selected to the Argonaut Honorary Society and to Who’s Who among students in American Universities and Colleges.
She will be most remembered for her passion to teach, travel and train for Kay Arthur and Precept Ministries in Chattanooga, TN.
Bert was a faithful wife and devoted mother who loved her family. She lived a lifestyle of devotion to God and His Word.
The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice for their enduring, tender care and compassion.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 3:30 at Fellowship Bible Church, 115 Buist Ave, Greenville, SC 29609.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fellowship Bible Church.
