Thelma Reaves Hester, 90, wife of the late Beonar Hester, passed from this life Monday, September 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Hester was born in Greenville a daughter of the late Dewey George Reaves and the late Mattie Pearle Young Reaves. She was retired from J. P. Stevens Monaghan Plant and was a member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Hester was known as a loving mother and grandmother and was famous for her green thumb.
Survivors include her children, Judy A. McCoy and Randy (Rhonda) Hester; six grandchildren, Tony Smith, Angie Price, Scott Hester, Chris Hester, Tron McCoy and Shandi Smith; 12 great grandchildren, Hannah Hester, Richie Hester, Tyler McCoy, Jordan Gaines, Mason McCoy, Jada Rhodes, Elizabeth Hester, Jazzy Rhodes, Ellie McCoy, Griffin McCoy, A. J. Smith and Zay Smith; and two great-great grandchildren, Little Randy Hester and Braylon Brookins.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM Monday, September 14, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
