Tony Joe Thornton

Tony Joe Thornton, 53, went home to the Lord Monday, May 31, 2021. He was a Baptist and loved the Lord. During his working career, he was a tile setter and a mechanic. Tony is with his parents, Bobby and Gene Thornton; and sister, Lynn Major in Heaven. He is survived by his sons, Tony Joe Thornton, Jr. and Jonathan Thornton; brothers, Danny Thornton (Betty), Jimmy Thornton, and Shane Thornton; sister, Debbie Jennings Thornton; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved. A memorial service will be held at New Life Baptist Church, Blue Ridge Dr., Greenville, SC on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM. Jeremy Major will speak words of comfort for the family. We welcome family and friends to share a special memory. Flowers may be sent to the church.
