Wilson Linwood Hyatt, 78, of Waterloo, SC, passed away on April 15, 2022. He was born to the late Beadie Hyatt and the late Lillian Beasley, in August 2, 1943, in Sumter, SC. Wilson served his country proudly as a Captain in the US Army and a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was married to the love of his life of 51 years Nancy Trost Hyatt January 2, 1971, in Highland Park, Illinois. Wilson is predeceased by his only son David Wilson Hyatt whom passed last Easter due to Covid; brothers: Jack Hyatt of Sumter and Phillip Hyatt of Columbia, SC; nephew Jason Hyatt of Sumter, SC. Wilson is survived by his wife; daughters Laura Vess of Piedmont, SC, and Karin (Ajay) Patel of Lutz, FL; daughter-in-law Renee. He is the beloved Grandfather to Hayden, Austin and Morgan Vess. Matt, Kenny and Kaylee Huff and Rohan, Kyra, and Talan Patel. He also is survived by his great grandchildren Wil, Gus and Josie. A Celebration of Life will be held for Wilson with Military Honors at the family home on May 7, 2022 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers please donations to the VA or to the Cancer Society.
