Anna Lee Daly

Anna Lee Daly, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at the age of 80 in Spartanburg, SC. Born on January 8, 1945, in Charleston, SC, Anna was a cherished daughter to the late Leroy Lewis Sr. and Anna Davis Lewis. Her life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Anna's nurturing nature led her to a fulfilling career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where she provided compassionate care at several nursing homes. She eventually retired from the Greenville County School District, where she touched many lives as the beloved school nurse. Her work was not just a job but a calling, as she left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she cared for.

Beyond her professional life, Anna's world revolved around her family. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Andrea Duncan, and her son in love Eric Duncan, and Shona Hayes, and a guiding light to her grandchildren, Julia Durham, Tarra Hayes, Herbert Blake Hayes, Alexander Hayes, DeAndre Duncan, and Shynilah Sanders. She was predeceased by her oldest granddaughter, Lanette Hayes (Lynn), but her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Dymia Jefferson, Zayvian Hayes, Nevah Blakely, Ariana Chardon, and Blake Hayes Jr. Anna's siblings, Elise Cummings and Sandy Lewis, will fondly remember their sister's loving guidance and unwavering support.

Anna's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending quality time with her family, which was her greatest delight. An avid shopper, she relished the thrill of finding the perfect item for herself or as a gift. Her love for reading transported her to worlds beyond her own, while her skill in crocheting created tangible expressions of her love and creativity.

Those who knew Anna will remember her as the epitome of love, faith, and wisdom. She was a woman who listened with an open heart. Anna's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of love, service, and faith. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the countless lives she touched. As we bid farewell to Anna Lee Daly, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey well-traveled, and a soul that has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on this world. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, just as the stars continue to shine long after they have gone

A memorial service has been scheduled for Tuesday July 22, 2025 at 12pm, at White Plains Baptist Church located at 803 Staunton Bridge Rd, Greenville, SC, 29611
