Anthony Ray Miller

Anthony Ray Miller, known to family and friends as Tony, passed away on June 30, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 66.

Tony was born on July 6, 1959, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Alex and Sarah Miller. He grew up surrounded by the bonds of family that would remain an important part of his life throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother, Harvey Miller. He is survived by his sister, Carol Porter and her husband Brian; his brothers, Bennett Miller and his wife Martha, and Johnny Miller; his nieces, Janna Botts, Sarah Speed, Haley Miller, and Romana Porter; his nephew, Chris Haley; four great-nieces; four great-nephews; and many cousins who will cherish his memory.

Tony was a proud United States Army veteran, and his service reflected the sense of duty, discipline, and strength that defined much of his life. He carried himself with quiet dignity and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around him. Those who knew him best will remember a man who was kind in spirit, intelligent in thought, and passionate in the things he loved. He faced life with determination and a thoughtful heart, and he left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Tony had a deep appreciation for reading, especially science fiction and fantasy, where he found adventure, imagination, and wonder.
