Benjamin Anderson Hester, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina, where he was born on May 28, 1945.

Beyond his professional pursuits as a salesman, Benjamin nurtured a deep interest in old cars and horses, hobbies that provided him with joy and relaxation, and allowed him to engage with communities sharing these passions.

Benjamin Hester is survived by his sons, Benjamin A. Hester Jr. (Donna), Charles H. Hester (Lane), and Chad J. Sanders (Tiffany). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Molly Hester Adams, Seth A. Hester, Morgan Hester, Madalyn Hester, Maya Sanders, A.J. Sanders, and Paisley Sanders. He is also survived by his brother, Terry G. Hester.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie A. Hester, his sister, Marion H. Greer, and his parents, Reverend Sethie Hester and Ruth Miller Hester. Their memory remains an integral part of the family heritage that Benjamin carried forward throughout his life.

Benjamin Hester’s life was marked by dedication—to his family, his career, and his interests. His presence will be missed, but the values he lived by and the relationships he fostered endure as a testament to a well-lived life.
