Billy Barbary

Billy "Bill" Charles Barbary, 90, of Taylors, South Carolina, passed away on September

8, 2026.

Born in Taylors on February 11, 1936, to the late C.L. and Vera Barbary, Bill graduated from Taylors High School in 1954 and went on to attend Clemson University, where he played football. A proud veteran, Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. 

He built a distinguished career with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Marian. Together, they were active members of Taylors First Baptist Church, where they spent many cherished years volunteering in the Family Life Center. His half-brother, Lewis Barbary, also greeted bill when he arrived in Heaven. In his retirement, Bill stayed connected to his community by umpiring softball and refereeing basketball in church recreational leagues throughout Taylors and Greer.

He is survived by his children, B.C. (Frank) DeIuliis, Becki (Todd) Walters, and Brooks Barbary; his grandchildren, Grant Walters, Elizabeth (Tucker) Greer, Drake DeIuliis, Bryce DeIuliis, Mary (Elijah) Hirsh, Quinn DeIuliis, and Tate (David) Lash; and five great-grandchildren, Will, Joy, Georgia, Barrett, and Ellie.

Service Details: Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Taylors First Baptist Church Chapel. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel.

As Bill was an avid Clemson Tiger, the family invites attendees to wear their Clemson attire or orange and purple in his honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made online to Meals on Wheels Greenville
