Bobby Putnam, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in his hometown of Greenville, SC, the same place where his life's journey began on October 4, 1960. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. Bobby's life was defined by his unwavering faith, his passion for music, and his dedication to his family.

Bobby's life was shared with his loving wife of 23 years, Joyce Carol Putnam, who stood by his side as a partner and best friend. He is survived by his daughters, Tori Skinner, Christina Putnam, and Peggy Daniels, and his sons, Bobby Putnam and Stephen Bennefield, and five cherished grandchildren. Although predeceased by his brother Chuck Putnam, Bobby's legacy of love and compassion continued to thrive within his family circle.

Professionally, Bobby was known for his meticulous work as a mechanic, a trade where he not only fixed cars but also forged lasting relationships with those he served. Later, he transitioned into the role of a security guard, where his kind demeanor and sense of responsibility made him a respected figure. Bobby's colleagues will remember him as a man who brought integrity and warmth to his work every day.

Beyond his professional life, Bobby was deeply involved in his church, where he expressed his faith through service and fellowship. His musical talents were a gift to all, as he played both the piano and guitar with a gentle grace that could touch the soul. Bobby's love for music was only surpassed by his love for his family, with whom he shared countless cherished moments that are now precious memories.

Bobby Putnam was the embodiment of love and kindness. His faith-filled life was a testament to his belief in the goodness of people and the grace of God. He approached every day with a heart full of joy and a spirit eager to help others. Those who had the privilege of knowing Bobby will remember him as a man who lived his values, loved without reservation, and inspired others to do the same.
