Bobby Carroll Standridge, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 92 in his hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Born on July 31, 1933, Bobby lived a life characterized by love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Bobby proudly served in the United States Navy from October 30, 1951, until October 26, 1955. His spirit of dedication continued throughout his career as a textile worker, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Bobby had a genuine passion for music, often found playing his guitar and spreading joy through his melodies. In addition to his musical interests, he enjoyed watching television, finding solace and entertainment in the stories shared on screen.
He is survived by his loving family: his sisters, Joyce Snell (Clyde) and Elizabeth Springston; his daughter, Kathy Hayes (Donnie); and his cherished grandchildren, Tosha Stone (Adam), Shawn Holder and Tonya White (Chris). Bobby’s legacy continues with his great-grandchildren, Dillon Turner, Tyler Stone, Kaleigh Stone, Haley Marler (Wil), Jayden White (Lanie).
Bobby was predeceased by his wife Betty Standridge and by several family members who will be remembered fondly: his brothers, J. C. Standridge and Junior Standridge; his sister, Betty Calicott (Jack); and Alice Wilkie (Mike).
A Visitation and Memorial Service will be held in Bobby's honor on December 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals, located at 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC. Following the services burial will immediately follow at Graceland Cemetery - West, 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611
In remembering Bobby, we honor a man whose love for his family and friends, along with his kind spirit, will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for years to come.
