Brian Charles Herzing

Brian Charles Herzing, affectionately known to many as "Pops," passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 68. Born on July 10, 1957, in Saint Mary's, PA, Brian was a man of great character, known for his handy skills, courageous spirit, and generous heart.

Brian's journey through life was marked by his passion for the open road and the companionship of his beloved motorcycles and classic cars. He found joy in the roar of engines at dirt track races, the meticulous displays at car shows, and the camaraderie found at bike rallies. His love for music was evident in his enthusiasm for attending bluegrass and classic rock events, where he felt a sense of belonging.

A traveling journeyman electrician by trade, Brian's work took him to numerous places, allowing him to touch the lives of many with his expertise and willingness to lend a helping hand. His involvement in various associations throughout his career not only showcased his dedication to his craft but also his desire to contribute to the betterment of his community.

Brian's interests extended beyond his hobbies to a deep appreciation for civil rights history and preservation. He believed in the importance of understanding the past to create a better future and often engaged in conversations that reflected his commitment to justice and equality.

Family was the cornerstone of Brian's life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his children, Paul, James, Ashley, William, Angela Herzing Bridges, and Jessica. His grandchildren, Makenzie, Makayla, Trenton, Kendall, Baylie, Trevor, and Nevaeh, will remember their "Pops" as a towering figure of strength and kindness. Brian now joins his son Andrew Michael Herzing, mother Louise Nussbaum, and father Paul Joseph Herzing in eternal rest.
