Calvin W. Roberts, known affectionately as Calvin to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on January 12, 2024. Born on January 21, 1939, in North Berwick, Maine. Calvin lived a full and honorable life, marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his passions.

Calvin is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Linda Ann Cisson Roberts, who has been his steadfast partner in life's journey. He was a loving father to his son Allan Roberts and his late son Mark Roberts. His daughter-in-law Brenda Roberts, grandson Ryan Michael Wayne Kerney, granddaughter Kristy (Roberts) Walker, grandson Richard Roberts, step-grandson Carry Johnson, and step-granddaughter Jaymee Johnson will miss his guidance and warmth. Calvin's legacy continues through his eight great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.

After graduating from high school, Calvin embarked on a distinguished career in the United States Navy, where he served with honor and distinction for 31 years, retiring as an E-8 Sr. Chief. His dedication to his country was unwavering, and his service was characterized by the intelligence, handiness, and selflessness that defined him as a person.

Calvin's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the quiet moments by the water. Golfing was another of his favorite pastimes, allowing him to enjoy the outdoors and engage in friendly competition. Traveling was a joy for Calvin, as he loved exploring new places and capturing memories through his love of taking pictures. His appreciation for wildlife was evident in his respect for nature and the environment.

Above all, Calvin cherished time spent with his family. He was a pillar of strength and support, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of wisdom. His intelligence shone through in his problem-solving abilities, and his handiness meant he could fix almost anything. Calvin's selfless nature meant he often put the needs of others before his own, a trait that endeared him to all who knew him.
