Calvin was the son of the late Elsie and Burgess Spurgeon. He was the cherished husband of the late Carol Spurgeon and the proud father of two sons, James and Richard Spurgeon. Calvin was also a doting grandfather to Jonathan and Camille Spurgeon. He was the dear brother of Randy, Bobby, Teri, Andrey, Dawn, Millie, Doraina, and Beverly. His family was his pride and joy, and he loved them all deeply.

Calvin was a high school graduate who dedicated 30 years of his life to Cryovac/Sealed Air before his retirement. His hard work and dedication were evident in his long-standing career, and he was respected by his colleagues for his commitment and work ethic.
