Carl Ford, a remarkable individual whose life was defined by his strength and resilience, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Clemson, South Carolina, at the age of 88. Born on January 11, 1938, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Carl lived a life that reflected his passions and values.

Carl pursued his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in History. His professional journey began as an industrial salesman, a career that spanned many successful years. After retirement, Carl found joy working at Walker Golf Course for 24 years, where he could engage in love for the game while sharing memorable moments with fellow golf enthusiasts. An Army veteran, Carl served his country with honor.

His passion for golfing led him to achieve six holes-in-one during his lifetime, with the farthest being a remarkable shot of 221 yards. His friends and family will fondly remember Carl not only for his accomplishments on the green but also for his ability to light up a room with his humor and thoughtfulness.

Carl leaves behind a cherished family: his daughter, Jodi Ford; his son, Carl Ford Jr along with Carl's wife, Maribeth Ford, ; his brothers, Wally Ford and Gilbert Ford; his granddaughter, Hannah Murchinson; and his grandson, Graham Ford. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Carole Babula Ford, whose memory he kept alive in the stories they shared and the legacy of love they built together.

As we remember Carl Ford, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life that embraced family, friendships, and the joy of golf, enriched by laughter and love. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
