IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carlton
Jones
April 20, 1959 – January 12, 2026
Carlton Jones, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on April 20, 1959, Carlton lived a life dedicated to his family, his community, and his passions.
Throughout his career, Carl made significant contributions as a safety manager in public transportation for over 20 years, following a five-year tenure at Taylor Meade in Liberty, South Carolina. He was known for his commitment to safety and service, ensuring that those who relied on public transport could do so with peace of mind.
Beyond his professional life, Carl was an avid sports enthusiast. He had a profound love for NASCAR and football, passionately supporting teams such as the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys. His interests extended into community service, where he embraced a life of giving back. Carl was an employee with Martin County Fire Rescue and EMS, and on the side became a volunteer fire chief with Port Salerno Fire Department, both in Florida. His selfless contributions earned him the respect and admiration of those he served alongside and the community they supported.
Carl will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Bobbi Jones, and their children: Sherri Noel (Jason), Joshua Jones, Robin Jones, Jodie Carpenter (Christian), and Rachel Jones. He is also survived by his brother, Darryl Jones, and aunts Jinny Sensabaugh and Shirley Schecter (Jordan). Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Irving Jones and Sally Jones.
As we remember Carl, we celebrate a life filled with hard work, dedication to community, and profound love for his family. His children were his greatest legacy, and his legacy will live on with them.
