Carolyn Cooley, a devoted wife, dedicated professional, and respected community member, passed away on May 5, 2026. Born on April 8, 1940, in Pickens, South Carolina, Carolyn’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to family, faith, and hard work.

Carolyn’s career was deeply rooted in service and mentorship. She retired from the PAI Donaldson Center after a meaningful tenure, where she spent ten years working as a line trainer. Her colleagues remember her for her expertise, patience, and dedication to guiding others in their roles. Her work ethic and compassionate spirit left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to work alongside her.

Faith played a central role in Carolyn’s life. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church and attended New Springs Baptist Church with devotion. These communities were a source of strength and fellowship for her, reflecting her commitment to spiritual growth and service.

Beyond her professional and spiritual endeavors, Carolyn found joy and fulfillment in farming, a hobby that connected her to the land and her heritage. This passion reflected her grounded nature and appreciation for the simpler aspects of life.

Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her husband, Harold Cooley, who survives her and cherishes her memory dearly. She was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny W. Holiday, and her parents, Virginia Alexander Holiday and Wesley Holiday.

Her legacy is one of dedication, faith, and love—a testament to a life well-lived. Carolyn Cooley’s memory will remain a cherished part of her family, friends, and community, inspiring all who knew her to embrace life with the same grace and perseverance she exhibited throughout her years.
