Carolyn Jean Isaacs, known to many simply as Carolyn, passed away on October 10, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina, the same city where she was born on June 2, 1951.

She was a loving, funny, and intelligent woman whose presence brought warmth and light to those around her. Carolyn lived her life with a kind heart, a quick wit, and a genuine interest in others. She had a special way of making people feel welcome, whether through a comforting conversation, a well-timed joke, or her cheerful smile. Those who knew her will remember her as someone who could brighten even an ordinary day with her laughter and her thoughtful spirit.

Carolyn made her living as an accountant, a profession that reflected her intelligence, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility. She approached her work with care and dedication, and she earned the respect of those who knew her professionally. Her steady nature and practical mind served her well throughout her life, and she carried those same qualities into her relationships with family and friends.

Outside of work, Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures that made life meaningful to her. She loved dancing and joking, and she had a playful side that brought happiness to those around her. She especially enjoyed Little Debbie Cakes, and she never missed an opportunity to enjoy a sweet treat. She loved fine art. Carolyn also loved talking to people on the computer, where she could stay connected and share conversation with others near and far. Her dogs held a special place in her heart, and she cared for them with deep affection.

Family was an important part of Carolyn’s life, and she cherished the bonds she shared with those closest to her. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea McCauley; her granddaughter, Savannah J. Willis; her sister, Debra Hudson and her husband Billy; and her great-granddaughters, Hannah L. Willis and Skylar R. Willis. She also leaves behind many treasured memories for those who loved her and will continue to hold her close in their hearts.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Isaacs; her granddaughter, Hannah A. Coxie; and her siblings, Danny Chandler and Cindy Shasteen. Their memories remained important to her throughout her life, and she carried their love with her always.

She will be remembered for her loving nature, her humor, and her intelligence, as well as for the many ordinary moments she made extraordinary simply by being herself. Carolyn’s life was marked by devotion to family, a strong work ethic, and a spirit that could make others laugh and feel at ease. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her memory will be cherished with gratitude and affection.

A life so full of kindness, laughter, and love leaves behind a lasting imprint. Carolyn Jean Isaacs will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her, and her memory will remain a comfort to her family and friends for years to come.
