Carolyn Joyce Shelton Simpson, born on October 31, 1943, passed away on June 9, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Shelton and Katie Ruth Garner Shelton.

She is survived by her children; Gene Davis of the home, Stephanie Davis Smith, and Marc Simpson, her brothers; Ronald Shelton (Nancy), Jackie Shelton, and Gerald Shelton (Georgia), her grandchildren; Joshua Davis (Susanne), Caroline Hensley (John), Allison Bridges (Wesley), Steven Smith, Jarrod Smith, and Jordan Simpson, and 7 great grandchildren; Victoria Basic, Adrianna Roper, Addy Bridges, Dylan Davis, Alston Davis, and Griffin Bridges. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sandra McJunkin.
