Cecilia Erickson, of Honea Path, SC, passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 20, 1949, Cecilia dedicated many years of her life to serving others in her role as a social worker. 

Cecilia was a mother and grandmother, survived by her three children, Maria (Kendall), Jason (Anna), and Tony (Emely), and her grandchildren, Chasley, Asheton, Mia, Max, and Enzo, who she created precious memories with that they will treasure forever. 

Beyond her professional life and family commitments, Cecilia had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She enjoyed scrapbooking, capturing moments and memories in creative ways. Her love for history was evident in her fondness for watching documentaries on history channels, and she had a special appreciation for the music of the Gypsy Kings and The Four Seasons. 

Later in her life, she took care of her beloved dog Bella that passed away, and also took care of Saffire after her husband, James, passed away in the summer of 2025. 

Cecilia is also survived by her sister, Pilar, and preceded in death by her brother, Luis, and her parents, Angela and Pedro Dela Cruz.

As we remember Cecilia Erickson, we celebrate her friendly, funny, generous, and interesting spirit she brought into our lives. Her spirit will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
