In Loving Memory of Chad Thomas Hailey
June 18, 1981 – July 20, 2026
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Chad Thomas Hailey, who passed away on July 20, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 45.
Born in Rome, New York, Chad lived a life defined by love, hard work, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he cared about. He possessed a remarkable ability to make people smile, lend a helping hand, and make family and friends feel valued. His generous heart and infectious sense of humor will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Chad was a talented and hardworking tradesman whose career reflected his dedication and craftsmanship. He helped build highway bridges, worked as a plumber in Colorado installing heated flooring systems in custom homes, and later became a successful self-employed automotive technician. He took pride in doing quality work and was always willing to help others.
Although Chad loved camping, working on automobiles, spending time outdoors, and attending Widespread Panic concerts, nothing compared to the love he had for his twin daughters, Emily Maureen Hailey and Caroline Marie Hailey. They were the light of his life, his greatest joy, and his proudest accomplishment.
Chad is survived by his loving father, Thomas Charles Hailey; his beloved twin daughters, Emily Maureen Hailey and Caroline Marie Hailey, who were the greatest joy of his life; his sister, Debra Lee Freire; his brother, Troy Scott Boss and his wife, Lisa; his nephew, Brandon Christopher Boss and his wife, Erin; his nieces, Brooke Alexandria Boss and Gabriana Marie Pollock and her husband, Jack; his aunt, Mary Coleman; his cousin, Gerry Coleman; along with many extended family members and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Leah Marie Hailey (Feehrer), and his brother, Eric Michael Boss. Chad's loving heart, funny personality, and thoughtful spirit will continue to live on in the memories of everyone who knew him. Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy lives on through the love he gave and the lives he touched.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
