Chris Kerechanin, beloved husband of 38 years to Cathy Kerechanin, father of 6 and grandfather of 3, passed away from cancer at his home in Greenville, SC on July 21, 2016 at the age of 63. Chris was born November 25, 1952 in Barberton, OH. Family was everything to him, and his friends were family too. He thrived outdoors, hiking, camping, travelling, fixing things, problem solving, and making people laugh. He attended Barberton High School and graduated from Akron University. He worked at Michelin for 39 years as an aircraft tire designer. As a devout Catholic, he was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He is survived by his sons, Andrew (Katie) Kerechanin and Adam Kerechanin and daughters, Carrie (Paul) Jobson, Natalie (Jamie) Monts, Karen Kerechanin, and Carlie Kerechanin, and grandchildren Allison, Hannah and Luke Jobson. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers Chuck and Chad and sisters Sue, Karen, and Mari. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia. A mass will be held Thursday, July 28, 10 am at St. Anthony's, followed by a luncheon.
