Christopher "Chris" Poole, aged 49, of Greenville, SC, passed away at his home due to cancer, on March 11, 2026. Born on December 27, 1976, in Greer, South Carolina, Chris was a beloved figure to many and will be remembered fondly for his kind, funny, and friendly nature. As a tech professional at Michelin, Chris was known for his intelligence and approachability, often making friends wherever he went and never meeting a stranger.
Chris had a passionate affinity for cars and motorcycles, often finding joy and solace in his hobbies. His enthusiasm for the automotive world reflected his vibrant personality and zest for life. He was an alumni of Wren Highschool, and attended Greenville Technical College.
He is survived by his loving mother, Nikki Tesnar; his brother, Erik Poole (Ashley); his sister, Tammie McKinney (Richie); his cherished daughter, Turner Poole; and his beloved son, Ebin Poole. He will also be missed by his uncle, Bob Ground (Beverly); his aunts, Leslie Martin and, Deborah Scurry, as well as his cousins: Brian Ground, and Sam Scurry (Amanda), and Caitlyn Jonston (Graham).
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wayne Poole; uncles, Pete Kiner and Ralph Scurry, and his cousin, Jennifer Scurry. The loss of Chris is deeply felt by family and friends alike, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth and laughter that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His remarkable spirit and love for life will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to call him family or friend.
A visitation for Chris will take place at Northgate Soda Shop, located at 918 North Mainstreet, Greenville, SC 29609, on Sunday March 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.
