Listen to Obituary

In the gentle town of Greenville, born with morning's light, Connie Ann Brown Harris came, a spirit pure and bright. On a spring day in '50, the world welcomed her cheer, And through the years that followed, she held her loved ones dear. In Greer, SC's embrace, she found her final peace, Her journey here completed, her soul's sweet release. Connie, as we called her, with a smile so warm and wise, Left us on a summer's day, under June's soft skies. Her father, Frank N. Brown Sr., and mother, Elizabeth Ann, Preceded her in rest, as did her brother, Frank Jr., a man Of kindred spirit.

Yet, her brother Michael stays, with Robin, Matthew, and the young ones, living out their days. Jobe, Wade, Gabriel, with Ruby, Seth, Cain, Winter Faith, grandnephews and grandnieces, who brightened up her wraith. Their laughter and their whispers, in her heart did firmly nest, Connie's love for them was endless, as they can all attest

At the University of SC, her mind was finely honed, And in the Greenville School District, her caring heart was loaned. In Audiology and Speech Therapy, she worked with gentle grace, Helping countless children find their voice, a smile upon her face. Connie had a passion for the simple joys in life, For puzzles that would challenge her, for peace that quelled all strife. She loved her cats, her TV shows, and meals that brought delight, Her favorite food, ice cream so cold, a taste that felt just right.

Loving, kind, and intelligent, these words her essence paint, A portrait of a life well-lived, free of worldly taint. Connie's memory we'll cherish, in our hearts she'll always be, A beacon of the love and joy, she gave so generously. So let us not in sorrow dwell, but celebrate her story, For Connie Ann Brown Harris lived a life filled with glory. Her legacy of kindness, a path of gentle light, Guides us through our darkest days, and through the starry night.
