Conway Miles passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on July 17, 1934, Conway lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an adventurous spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Conway honorably served our nation for seven years, including four years in the United States Army and an additional three years with the CIA. His service reflected a commitment to duty and an unwavering sense of patriotism that defined much of his life. Those who served alongside him remember a man of intelligence, optimism, and selflessness—qualities that extended far beyond his military career.
Conway had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with his quick wit and love of telling jokes. Gardening was a passion that offered him peace and joy, nurturing life much as he nurtured the bonds within his family. A seasoned traveler, Conway enjoyed exploring new places, embracing each adventure with curiosity and enthusiasm. He also shared a special bond with his cherished parrot, Peanut, who brought additional delight to his days.
Conway is survived by his devoted spouse, James Benjamin Dill, who stood by his side through many of life’s moments. He is also survived by his sister; Sara "Shebby" Parler, his nieces; Ramona Hill, Anna Dahl, and Sherrie Miles, and nephews; Butch Parler, Al Parler, Rhett Parler, and Mark Miles.
Conway was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah McCullock; his father, Alfred Miles; and his brother, Mack Miles.
Throughout his ninety-one years, Conway Miles lived a life rich in love, duty, and adventure. His intelligence and optimism inspired many, his generosity touched countless lives, and his kindness left an indelible mark on his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, remembered fondly, and honored always.
