Curtis Johnson, a retired metalworker and roofer, passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 70, in Roebuck, South Carolina. He was born on July 11, 1955, in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

A lover of music, Curtis was particularly passionate about country and southern rock. He showcased this enthusiasm by performing with his band as the guitar player, sharing his love for these genres with audiences. In addition to his musical pursuits, he found solace and pleasure in the great outdoors, engaging in fishing and hunting—activities that brought him much happiness.

Curtis is survived by his daughter, Tina Johnson. His legacy also includes the cherished memories of his deceased family members: sons Joseph Johnson and Curtis Johnson Jr., as well as his parents, Francis Johnson and Edward Johnson.

His impact on family and friends will be forever remembered, as will his zeal for life, the laughter, and the courage he exhibited throughout his years.
