Starts at 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Daisy Lindsey was born on October 11, 1940, in Anderson, South Carolina, and passed away on April 21, 2026, in Easley, South Carolina.
Daisy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Daisy was married to her loving husband, Gordon Lindsey for 42 years. She was the proud mother of Craig Entrekin (Pat), Carole Smith (Scott), Laura Lindsey (Diane) and Tammy Richardson. Her family was one of her greatest joys, and she treasured every moment spent with her children and those who became part of her extended circle of love.
She was also blessed with a large and beloved family of grandchildren, including Chad Simpson (Tammy), Alex Entrekin, Emily Neighbors, Luke Richardson, and Levi Richardson. Daisy delighted in her great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Tripp, Jordan, and Marley, who brought her great happiness and added another cherished generation to her family legacy. Her love for her family was steady and unconditional, and she found deep fulfillment in being present for the people she held dear.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, Creighton and Edith Newton, and by her siblings Juanita Foster, Joan Martin, Barbara Collins, John Newton & Ansel Newton.
Faith was an important part of Daisy’s life. She was a member of Central Church in Charlotte, and she found joy in singing in church and being part of a worshiping community. Her faith gave her strength, comfort, and purpose, and she shared that faith through the way she lived each day. She was also a member of the Women’s Straw Hats and the YMCA in Rock Hill, where she enjoyed fellowship and connection with others.
Daisy especially loved spending time with her family, and those moments were among the most meaningful of her life. Whether gathered for special occasions or simple everyday visits, she valued the laughter, conversation, and closeness that family brought. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy, and her loved ones will long remember the warmth she brought into every room.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love and example will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration.
A memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Central Church, 5301 Sardis Rd, Charlotte, NC 28270.
