Daniel Roy Aiken, Jr., affectionately known as Dan or Danny to those who were fortunate enough to know him, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on January 6, 1946, Dan lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and an unwavering optimism that touched everyone around him.

A well-known and respected salesman, Dan established a remarkable career spanning the region from Greenville to Spartanburg. His friendly demeanor and genuine care for people made him not only successful in his profession but also beloved by colleagues and clients.

Beyond his career, Dan was a man of many passions. He found great joy and solace in fishing, often sharing these moments with his sons and friends. His invitations to join him were always extended generously, reflecting his open heart and friendly nature. Hunting was another cherished pastime, a reflection of his enduring connection to the outdoors. Above all, Dan’s profound love for his wife, Barbara McCall Aiken, whose memory he dearly honored, was a guiding force throughout his life.

Dan’s personality shone brightly—he was loving, funny, friendly, optimistic, and generous. These qualities made him a true pillar within his family and community. His laughter and kind spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted sons, Tim (Allison) Aiken and John Aiken, who carry forward his legacy with pride. Dan also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Lauren, Nathan, Sarah Beth, and Camden, who were a continual source of joy and inspiration to him.

Though his wife, Barbara McCall Aiken, predeceased him, the memories they shared remain a treasured part of the family’s history, and Dan’s love for her endured throughout the years.

Daniel Roy Aiken, Jr.'s life was one of meaningful connections, heartfelt generosity, and enduring love. His presence enriched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed but warmly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure to know him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2 P.M., at Middle Fork Baptist Church, 2824 Pickens Hwy, Rosman, NC 28772.
