Daniel Dwayne Bartlett

Daniel Dwayne Bartlett, known affectionately as Danny to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC, at the age of 69. Born on November 1, 1955, in Lawton, OK, Danny was a man whose life was characterized by his loving nature, his unique sense of humor, and his remarkable ability to fix just about anything.

Danny's early years in Lawton were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, being the beloved son of Floyd Bartlett and Betty Ham. Floyd predeceased him. His journey led him to the love of his life, Lee Riffe, with whom he built a beautiful family, including his cherished daughter, Kiley Tyler. The joy of his life expanded with the arrival of his granddaughters, Breanna Tyler, (Son-In Law Hunter Howard) and Carrier Sandford, and he was overjoyed to become a great-grandfather to Madelyn Howard, Kolson Poitevien, Grayson Poitevien, and Gracelyn Howard.

Danny dedicated many years of his life to serving his community as a firefighter, a role that exemplified his courage and selflessness. His work ethic extended to his time in glass fabrication, where his skilled hands and keen eye contributed to the creation of many a masterpiece. His colleagues knew him as a man who could always be relied upon, and his camaraderie was a staple in the workplace.

Beyond his professional life, Danny was a man of many interests. He could often be found with a fishing pole in hand, patiently waiting for the next big catch, or chatting away on his CB radio, where he connected with friends near and far. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for 4-wheeling, an activity that brought him great joy and adventure.

Above all, Danny cherished the moments spent with his great-grandchildren. His face would light up with pride and happiness as he shared in their discoveries and milestones. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in their hearts, as they remember the countless hours he spent playing and teaching them the value of joy and family.
