Danny Lee Smith, known affectionately as Danny to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 74 in Greenville, SC. Born on November 28, 1950, in Spartanburg, SC, Danny's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his passion for his work and hobbies.

Danny is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Shirley M. Smith, who stood by him through every season of life. Together, they built a legacy of love and commitment that will continue to inspire their family for generations to come. He was a loving son to his mother, the late Rosa Doris Stone and was preceded in death by his father, Marion Lee Smith, and his beloved son, Todd Smith. Danny's memory will be cherished by his son, Travis Smith (Laura), and his brother, Miles Smith, who will miss his guidance and friendship.

Danny was the proud owner of Smith Tractor Company INC, where he combined his love for tractors with his creative and selfless spirit to serve his customers. His work ethic and integrity were the cornerstones of his successful career, and his influence extended far beyond the walls of his business.

Danny's interests were a reflection of his love for the outdoors and his joy in sharing experiences with his family. An avid fisherman, he found solace and excitement in the quiet lakes and rivers that he frequented. His granddaughters, Jessica, Cassie, Hannah, Kayla, and Kyndal, fondly remember their "Big Pa" teaching them the patience and skill of fishing, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

His role as "Big Pa" extended to his great-grandchildren, Ashton, Makon, Malaki, Caleb, Harper, and Maddox, who will grow up hearing stories of his kindness and the laughter he brought to every family gathering. Danny's legacy as a loving, selfless, and creative soul is firmly imprinted on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Danny's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. His unwavering support and unconditional love for his family were the hallmarks of his character. He was a man who put others before himself and sought to bring joy and comfort to those around him.
