David Smith, 84, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. A proud United States Marine and Vietnam veteran, David served his country with honor. He had a special love for animals, especially his cats, and spent much of his time caring for the outdoor animals that visited his home.

He will be remembered for his compassion for animals, his military service, and his “ugly sweaters” that were his unique gifts at Christmas.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren.

Private services will be held by the family.
