Deborah Elizabeth Gosnell, lovingly known as Debbie, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 55.
Born on December 29, 1970, in Greenville, South Carolina, Debbie lived her life with a loving heart, a passionate spirit, and a creative mind. She was a woman who brought warmth and sincerity to those around her, and she will be remembered for the kindness she showed, the strength she carried, and the gentle way she touched the lives of others. Debbie’s presence was a comfort to her family and friends, and her memory will remain a treasured part of their lives.
Debbie found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved reading, spending quiet time with model cars, painting ceramics, working on puzzles and art, and being surrounded by her pets. These interests reflected the thoughtful and imaginative person she was. Whether she was absorbed in a favorite book, carefully creating something by hand, or enjoying the companionship of her animals, Debbie embraced the moments that brought her peace and happiness. Her creativity was one of the many gifts she shared with those who knew her, and it added beauty to the world around her.
She is survived by her son, Michael Eric Gosnell; her sister, Tammy Clardy (Barry Lewis), her nephews, Jonah Gosnell and Adam Clardy; her nieces, Haley Gosnell and Tabitha Taylor; and four great-nieces and one great-nephew. She also leaves behind many loved ones who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. Debbie’s family was central to her life, and the bonds she shared with them were a source of love, pride, and enduring connection.
Debbie was preceded in death by her son, James Gilreath Jr.; her brother, Junior Gosnell; her parents, Adell Nalley and Kenneth Gosnell; and her nephew, Jacob Taylor. She was deeply shaped by the love of those who went before her, and her life was enriched by the family ties that remained important to her throughout the years. Though she now joins them in rest, the love she gave and received will continue to live on through the generations of her family.
Those who knew Debbie will remember her as a loving, passionate, and creative woman whose life was marked by devotion to the people and things she held dear. She had a way of making others feel seen and valued, and her memory will be cherished for the tenderness of her heart and the strength of her character. A Memorial Service will be held at Cremation Society of South Carolina Westville Funerals Friday July 17, 2026. Receiving friends 12-1pm and service officiated by Pastor Jill Chapman 1-2pm.
