Deborah Lee Jackson Nelson, affectionately known as "Debbie," passed away on February 25, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Greenville, South Carolina. Born on January 26, 1951, Debbie was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Heartland Nursing Home, where her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to care left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the residents she served.

Debbie was a natural-born leader, embodying qualities of independence, courage, and love. Her ability to connect with those around her made her a cherished friend and a trusted confidant to many. Known for her distinctive personality, she shared her life animatedly, often captivating those around her while enjoying her favorite indulgences—sausage biscuits and Diet Coke—as she passionately watched the latest news on the television for all to hear.

Debbie was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving behind a family who adored her. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Renee Campbell, and her treasured grandchildren: Triston Collins, Grant Parks Jordan, and Nora Kathryn Jordan. Additionally, she is the proud great-grandmother of Aveli Zoe Rodriguez, Abel, and Ohia Jade. She is also survived by Michael Collins, father to Triston, and half-siblings Frankie Lepord and Vickie Maxwell.

Deborah now joins her late daughter, Elizabeth Leann Collins, and her half-sibling Tony, in eternal rest. Her legacy of strength and loving spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we remember Debbie, we celebrate her life, her unwavering independence, and her profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
