Denise Ann Zimmermann passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Greenville, South Carolina on January 16th, 2026.

Formally Denise Ann Draper, Denise was born August 1, 1958, in Baldwin, Mi. to Edwin Gray Draper, Sr. And Shirley Joan Draper (Baker). Denise was the second oldest of 6 children, including her older sister, Debra Jean Ray (Draper), and four younger brothers, Edwin Gray Draper, Jr., Bradley Jay Draper, Douglas John Draper, and Norman Ernest Draper.

Denise married her husband and the love of her life, Paul Robert Zimmermann, on May 15th, 1992. They shared almost 34 years of marriage, sharing many memories and a mutual love for sports, cooking, traveling, and enjoying time with their friends who became more like family.

Denise loved and was extremely proud of all her children, Christopher Philip Ferguson and wife, Adrianne, Christopher Randall Rogers and wife, Kacy, Sara Renee Rogers, and Stephen Paul Zimmermann and fiancé, Rayya. Denise especially adored her grandchildren, Isabella Renee Figueroa-Corona, Isaiah Bradley Rogers, Rosalee Autumn Ferguson, and Brennen Lee Swope, who were the light of her life, and she loved them immensely.

Denise was an animal lover and adored her three dogs, Gus, Buddy, and Eevee.

After retiring to South Carolina with her husband, Paul, she invested her time in many hobbies. Tending to her many flowers and plants, doing arts and crafts, and attending local sporting events were some of her most treasured pastimes. She and Paul were extraordinary cooks and loved experimenting with different recipes. She especially loved spending time with friends and traveling.

Denise is preceded in death by her father and mother, Edwin and Shirley Draper, her four younger brothers, Edwin Jr., Bradley, Douglas, and Norman Draper, and her beloved Gus.

Denise is survived by her husband, Paul Zimmermann, her daughter, Sara Rogers and her children, Isabella and Isaiah, her three sons, Christopher and Adrianne Ferguson and their children Rosie and Brennen, Chris and Kacy Rogers, Stephen Zimmermann and fiancé Rayya, her older sister and brother in law, Debra and Glenn Ray, sisters in law, Debbie Draper and Lori Draper, and nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Raymond Brand and their children, John and Peighton, Katelynn and Adam Sabo, Jordan and Mike Olsen and their children, Raelynn and Layth, as well as many extended family members that she dearly loved.
