Dennis R. Killingsworth, affectionately known to all as Randy Jackson aka Candy Randy, departed this life on August 18, 2025, at the age of 65, in his hometown of Greenville, SC, where he was also born on December 18, 1959. His passing marks the end of a life lived with an infectious sense of humor, a spirit of adventure, and a courageous heart that touched everyone he met.

Randy was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. After a dedicated career at Greenville Water Works, he turned his passion for the outdoors into a second career in landscaping, where he could be found with his hands in the earth, creating beauty in the community he loved.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Lee Jackson, and his sister, Angie Killingsworth. Randy's memory is cherished by his father, Veldee Burts, who instilled in him the values of hard work and integrity. His legacy continues through his children, Lorenzo Nicholson, Dasheneick Nicholson, Gabriel "Nisha" Nicholson, and Tiffany Abercrombie-McKenzie, and her husband Joshua McKenzie. His life was further enriched by the love and laughter of his 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Randy is also survived by the mothers of his children Teresa Nicholson Duck, and Pondarosa Abercrombie.

Randy's life was one of connection and community, as evidenced by the deep bonds he shared with his special friend, Sharon Voit, and his "Ride or Die"; Kesha Downs. His siblings, Rotunda Jackson, Faleter Harris, Treaser Jackson, and Israel Jackson, will remember him as a brother who always brought light and levity to their lives. The void left by his passing will be felt by a host of family and friends who were fortunate to know him.

Those who knew Randy will recall his fondness for spending time at QuikTrip, where he was a familiar and welcome presence. His laughter was a beacon of joy, and his stories, often filled with wit and humor, will be retold and cherished by all who were part of his journey.

Randy Jackson lived a life that exemplified the essence of being funny, adventurous, and courageous. His ability to find humor in the everyday, to seek out new experiences, and to face life's challenges head-on will be remembered as the hallmarks of his character.

As we bid farewell to Randy, we celebrate a life that was lived fully and with an open heart. His was a life that reminded us to cherish the moments, to embrace the journey, and to always find time for laughter and love. Randy's spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will be a guiding light for generations to come.
