Dewey
Nation
December 31, 1940 — July 9, 2026
Dewey Brown Nation, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 9, 2026.
Born on December 31, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Helen Brown.
Dewey was the beloved wife of the late Harold Garrett Nation, whom she married on July 4, 1959. Together they shared nearly 67 years of marriage, building a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. Their union was a beautiful example of commitment and devotion that inspired everyone who knew them.
Baptized on July 9, 1955, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she lived a life defined by unwavering faith, unconditional love, quiet strength, and dedication to her family.
She is remembered by her six children: Tami Trull (Tommy), Tim Nation (Lisa), Tommy Nation (Gladys), Tony Nation (Frances), Terry Nation (Robbin), and Tiffany Nation. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Texas Nation.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the hope of God's promises. Her legacy will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dewey's life and honor her memory at a service to be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 611 New Market Street, Greenwood.
