Donald L. Pogue, a beacon of faith and a pillar of the community, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 83. Born on July 12, 1942, in Okemah, OK, Donald's life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his family, his faith, and the betterment of others.

Donald, affectionately known as Don to his friends and family, was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Debra Pogue. Together, they raised a family that included their sons, Ron, married to Kristina; Dan, married to Mandy; Dennis, married to Denise; and their cherished daughter, Casi Pogue. Don's legacy continues through his siblings, Claudia Andrews and Linda Isbell, his 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and the numerous nieces and nephews who looked up to him.

Don's academic achievements were crowned by his Doctorate in Theology, a field where he would leave an indelible mark. For over half a century, he dedicated himself to ministry, touching countless lives with his wisdom and compassion. His vision led to the creation of Kairos University in Ft. Meyers, FL, and the establishment of Bible colleges worldwide, spreading knowledge and faith far and wide.

Beyond his educational endeavors, Don founded the Foundation Education in Stillwater, OK, which included afterschool programs for children, ensuring that the light of education and the warmth of care reached the hearts of the young. His commitment to service was further exemplified by his role as the Founder of Joy For All Nations, an organization that embodied his mission to bring hope and happiness to people across the globe.

Donald's interests were as rich and varied as his contributions to the world. A passionate student and teacher of the Word of God, he found joy in studying and sharing his insights with others. His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for travel, exploring the world and experiencing its diverse cultures. When he sought tranquility, Donald could be found with a fishing rod in hand, enjoying the serenity of nature, or relaxing with a classic John Wayne movie, a nod to his appreciation for timeless storytelling.

Described by those who knew him as faith-filled, passionate, and adventurous, Donald lived a life that inspired others to pursue their dreams with courage and conviction. His unwavering faith guided him through life's challenges and triumphs, and his passion for life's work was evident in every endeavor he undertook.

Donald L. Pogue's journey on earth may have come to an end, but his spirit, teachings, and the love he shared will continue to resonate in the lives of those he touched. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered as a man who lived his life with purpose and left the world a better place.
