Donna’s career was distinguished by her dedicated service in the healthcare field, where she worked in administration with a focus on children’s health, safety, and nutrition. Her commitment to improving the well-being of children reflected her selfless and caring nature—qualities that defined both her professional and personal life.
Known for her loving spirit and infectious sense of humor, Donna was a woman of great strength and warmth. She was courageous in facing life’s challenges and steadfast in her determination, always standing firm for what she believed was right. Her intelligence shone through not only in her work but also in her daily interactions, where her wit and kindness touched the hearts of many.
Donna found joy in the simple and beautiful moments of life. She cherished the beach, spending peaceful hours collecting seashells along the shore. Her creativity blossomed through crafting and gardening, where she nurtured flowers with the same tenderness she extended to her family. Taking care of her granddaughter, Ellie, brought her immense happiness, as did the playful moments she shared with her beloved dog, Lulu. Above all, Donna was a woman of faith who loved Jesus Christ and trusted Him throughout her life. Her relationship with the Lord provided strength, comfort, and hope through both joyful and difficult times. She found peace in God’s promises and shared His love through her kindness, compassion, and devotion to family and friends. Her faith remained steadfast, even in life’s hardest moments. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior, whom she faithfully believed in and loved.
She is survived by her husband, Andy Waldrop; her children, Ashley Davis and Bradley Waldrop; her beloved granddaughter, Ellison “Ellie” Davis; her sister, Deborah Phillips; and her faithful canine companion, Lulu.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, James Burkhalter and Reva Burkhalter, whose memories she held dear throughout her life.
Through her devotion to family, her steadfast character, and the joy she brought to everyday moments, Donna Marie Waldrop leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
