Dorothy Ann Lackner

Dorothy Ann "Dot" Lackner, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Greer, South Carolina, at the age of 94. Born on February 15, 1931, in Shelby, Ohio, Dot was the cherished daughter of the late Harry and Mary Earl. Her life was a testament to her selfless nature and her capacity to bring joy to everyone she encountered.

Dot's journey through life was marked by her devotion to her family, her passion for animals, and her love of nature. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Rick Lackner and his wife Melinda, Laura Fetters-Lackner and her husband Tim, Julie Blake and her husband Mitch, Mark Lackner, John Lackner, Teresa Lee and her husband Milt. Dot was predeceased by her beloved daughter Carla Gorbey and her son Chris Lackner, as well as her sister Toni Hoar. Her legacy continues through the lives of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons of compassion and generosity she instilled in them.
