It is with profound sorrow that I announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Elizabeth Rahman, my wife, friend and guiding light, on 6/10/2026, at her home in Simpsonville, SC. A person of substance who was compassionate and graceful. She exemplified exuberance and elegance.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ritchie, Elizabeth was born in Mount Elgin, Ontario, Canada. She wanted to be a medical nurse. She accomplished her dream and graduated as RN, from Victoria School of Nursing, Class of 1966, London, Ontario. Elizabeth attended the class re-unions where the friends from Alberta, Ontario and Pennsylvania will meet and enjoy the friendship. She grew up with four brothers and a sister and was a personal care nurse when her mother became stricken with terminal cancer.

She was a dedicated nurse in PACU and Pre Admission Testing at St. Francis Hospital / Bon Secours, East and West side, in Greenville, SC. She kept in touch with her friends and colleagues and enjoyed playing bridge and watching tennis and golf. We travelled Western Europe, Asia, Africa and North America and marveled at the Almighty’s creation.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, South Carolina, ETV and Southern Tea Society of Greenville, SC.

Honestly I do not know how I will carry on without my friend.

Rest in peace, my Elizabeth Rahman.
