Earl Wayne Redding, 69, of Taylors, SC peacefully passed away on February 7, 2026 surrounded by loved ones after a 5-year battle with Parkinson's disease.

Wayne was born on May 11, 1956 to Dewey and Pansy Redding and grew up in Pfafftown, NC. He graduated from UNC Charlotte and had a 35-year career in property management, with the last 13 years with Vista Capital Management Group.

Wayne enjoyed hunting, spending time in the woods, getting his hands dirty in the garden, family vacations to Pawleys Island and Jimmy Buffett music. He is fondly remembered for the love he had for his family, his wry humor, his kindness - thoughtfulness - and unassuming care for others.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathleen “Kathy” Redding, children Nathan (Krista) Redding and Alex (Kaleigh) Redding, grandchildren Luke, Max, Lily and Wren Redding and siblings Martha Jane (Clint) Clampitt and Sarah (John) Stanley. Services will be held at Fourth Presbyterian Church 703 E Washington Street Greenville, SC 29601 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the SC Wildlife Federation.
