Eston Lee Rodgers Jr., husband, veteran, father, Realtor, appraiser, educator, and director, died on February 18, 2026. He is mourned by his wife Carol Lee Rodgers and son Eston Lee Rodgers III. 

He served in the army as a medic in Okinawa and a surgical technician in Maryland. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in economics from Clemson University and held several Real Estate/Appraiser designations. For years, he worked as a Realtor and real estate appraiser. He taught classes at Greenville Tech, served as President of the Greenville Board of Realtors and was named Realtor of the year. He became  the Education Director for the Greenville Board of Realtors. In later years, he was the Director of Education and Technology for the South Carolina Realtors Association, and he finished his career as the Director for the Greenville Home Builders Association. 

He had been a member of Rotary; and believing in integrity and the rights of others, he served on the charter Board of Directors for the ACLU of South Carolina. Even in dementia, he worried about the safety of others and what needed to be done to help people. He expressed pride in his Open Hearts Sunday school class because "they are good people."

He would appreciated Memorials made to Meals on Wheels, Wounded Warriors or the Alzheimer's Association.
