Faye Darlene Atwell Hall Posey

Faye Darlene Atwell Hall Posey, 76, of Greenville, SC, passed away August 27, 2026, following a brief illness. Native of Virginia, a devoted member of White Horse Heights Baptist Church, and a retiree of Kmart Corporation.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Paul and Frances Atwell, two brothers, Larry and Eddie Atwell, and both of her husbands, Bill Hall and Danny Posey. She is survived by her sister Donna Atwell, her son Robert Hall(Krissy), and her two daughters Donna Sheppard and Denise Hall.

Darlene leaves behind seven grandchildren, Lewis Hall(Shannon), Tyler Hall(Cheyenne), Jonathan King, Emily Sheppard(Blake), Zachary Sheppard(Cassidy), Trey Pease, and Gavin Quesenberry, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Xavian, Brooklyn and Alina Arce, Haven, Braxton and Hadley Hall, and Layla Thomason. Her legacy of kindness and love will live on in each of them.

A memorial service to honor Darlene’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at White Horse Heights Baptist Church, 421 Rangeview Circle, Greenville, SC 29617. Conducted by Pastor Scott Dean and Pastor Jim Braziel.

Darlene will be missed by all who knew her, but her memory will be cherished forever.
